Get hardware to the field faster.
The people in the field are waiting on the parts, and the parts are waiting on the drawings. Drafter reads your models and returns standardized, fully dimensioned ASME Y14.5-2018 drawings in minutes, each one traceable to the change that caused it and none of them leaving your workspace.
| Rev | Description | Date |
|---|---|---|
| A | Initial release | 12 MAR 26 |
| B | Bore Ø6.35 H7 added, datum C established | 04 JUN 26 |
| C | Wall 2.0 to 2.5, profile tolerance 0.25 to A|B | 11 AUG 26 |
Revision history for drawing 4990202. Revision A, initial release, ECO-4412, 12 March 2026. Revision B, bore diameter 6.35 H7 added and datum C established, ECO-5081, 4 June 2026. Then engineering change order ECO-5526 arrives, the sheet regenerates, and revision C is released four minutes later: wall thickness 2.0 to 2.5 with a 0.25 profile tolerance to datums A and B, the change also drawn in the section view beside the table. Every revision is retained with the sheet it superseded.
Four minutes from change order to released revision.
A change order does not wait in a queue behind a stack of re-detailing. The model changes, the sheet regenerates, and Drafter fills in the revision block: what changed, which ECO authorized it, when, and who released it, with the superseded sheet retained beside it. Nothing is re-detailed by hand under deadline, which is how drawing errors get made, and an error on a drawing becomes a part that fails inspection or fails in service. And that record is what a reprocurement needs long after the team that drew it has moved on: a drawing you can still answer for in ten years.
Your models never leave the workspace.
Every workspace runs in isolated AWS GovCloud infrastructure, with SSO and enterprise access controls. Your models, drawings, and design intent stay inside it: nothing is trained on, nothing is shared, and nothing goes out to a third party. Every action against a drawing is written to an audit record you can read. Drafter also runs as a locally hosted cloud deployment, inside your own cloud and under your own security controls.

Capabilities
What ships with every sheet.
ASME Y14.5-2018
Feature control frames, datum references, and callouts follow the 2018 rule set on every sheet, so drawings read the same whoever produced them and whichever contractor they came from.

One datum scheme
Datums and tolerances are proposed from the geometry and the intent you set, then held consistent across every part in the assembly rather than re-decided part by part.
Traceable revisions
Change the model and run it again. The new sheet arrives with the change order that authorized it, the date, and the release, and the sheet it supersedes is retained.
No black box
The drawing returns to your CAD as a live link, and to Teamcenter under the revision controls you already run. Your drawings stay in your systems and your formats, and nothing needs us to open it.
Native in your CAD
Drafter runs as an add-in inside SolidWorks and Siemens NX, with Teamcenter support for PLM teams, and reads STEP when a model reaches you without its native file.

Complete title blocks
Material, finish, standard, and the sheet's own identity come back filled in, not left as a row of empty cells for a reviewer to chase down.

Yesterday's engineering took whole teams of drafters.
The precision has not changed and the volume has gone up. Drafter does that work in software, to ASME Y14.5-2018 and inside a secure workspace, so the programs that depend on it, and the people those programs serve, are not left waiting on paper.
The oldest job in manufacturing“Drafter is really fast. It helps us move at the speed we need. The 7 drawings I made last week would've taken me one and a half days. With Drafter, it took 30 minutes.”

Questions
What programs ask us first.
- Where does our engineering data live?
- In an isolated AWS GovCloud workspace in us-gov-west-1, or in a locally hosted cloud deployment inside your own environment. Your models, drawings, and design intent stay inside it, encrypted in transit, and every action against a drawing is written to an audit record you can read. Nothing goes out to a third party.
- Is our data used to train anything?
- No. Nothing you put into a workspace is trained on, and nothing is shared between workspaces.
- Can we put ITAR-controlled data in a workspace?
- Yes, through a locally hosted cloud deployment. Drafter runs inside your own environment, so ITAR-controlled data stays under your program's controls and never enters ours. Our hosted workspaces also run in AWS GovCloud, which is built for export-controlled workloads, and everyone at Drafter is a U.S. person.
- Which drawing standard do the sheets follow?
- ASME Y14.5-2018, on every sheet. Feature control frames, datum references, and callouts follow the 2018 rule set, which is what keeps a drawing package consistent across parts, across engineers, and across contractors.
- Do we have to change how we model?
- No. Drafter runs as a native add-in inside SolidWorks and Siemens NX, with Teamcenter support for PLM teams, and reads STEP when a model reaches you without its native file. It works from the models you already have.
- What happens when a model changes?
- Run it again. The drawing comes back updated rather than being re-detailed by hand, carrying the change order that authorized it and the date it was released, and the sheet it supersedes is retained.
- How long does a drawing take?
- Minutes. A production-ready sheet typically comes back in about four, which is roughly 95 percent less time than detailing it by hand.
- How do we buy Drafter?
- Directly. Drafter is a U.S.-owned small business, so a purchase can count toward your small business goals. Book a demo with what your program needs. Pilots start small and can begin quickly.
