Brand.
How to use the Drafter name, logo and assets without asking us each time. For a use these guidelines do not cover, write to info@drafterinc.com with a mockup of what you have in mind.
Drafter.
The Drafter trademark covers the Drafter name, the logo, the mark, and any word, phrase or image that identifies a Drafter product. Use them as they are: do not redraw or recolor them, and do not use them in a way that suggests Drafter sponsors or endorses you, or that confuses Drafter with someone else. See usage and misuse.
<img src="https://www.drafterinc.com/site/brand/logo-lockup-ink.svg" alt="Drafter" height="32" />The mark.
The mark is for places with no room for the full logo, such as an app icon or a favicon, or where only the marks of several companies are shown together. Where the logo fits, use the logo.
<img src="https://www.drafterinc.com/site/brand/logo-mark-ink.svg" alt="Drafter" height="32" />Clear space.
Keep clear space around the logo equal to half its height, on every side. No type, edge or other logo comes inside it.
Minimum size.
On screen, the logo is never narrower than 80px and the mark never shorter than 16px. In print, 20mm and 4mm. Below that, the mark’s inner lines close up.
Color.
The logo comes in two cuts and no others: ink (#1A1B1E) on light grounds and vellum (#FFF6E7) on dark ones. Use whichever has more contrast with what it sits on, and never a tint, a gradient or a brand color of your own. The rest of the palette is under colors.
Name and spelling.
Write Drafter, one word with a capital D. The company is Drafter Inc. The logo’s wordmark is set in lowercase, but in running text the name never is: not drafter, not DRAFTER.
Drafter Toolbox.
Drafter Toolbox is Drafter’s free set of engineering calculators, checks and references. Its logo follows every rule above. In text it is Drafter Toolbox, two words, both capitalized; after the first mention, the Toolbox is fine.
General information.
Using the Drafter marks means agreeing to these guidelines and to our terms and conditions. We may change or withdraw the permission they give at any time. For anything else about the Drafter name and marks, write to info@drafterinc.com.
Usage.
You may use the Drafter marks to describe Drafter’s products truthfully, and to say truthfully that you use them, for example: “Our drawings are made with Drafter.” Any other use, including in connection with a product or service of your own, needs our written permission first.
Wherever you use the marks, include this line somewhere a reader will find it, such as a footer: Drafter and the Drafter logo are trademarks of Drafter Inc.
